According to court filings, the richest man in the world, Elon Musk, fathered two children with one of his top executives in 2021.

According to records obtained by Business Insider and made public on Wednesday, Musk and Shivon Zilis, the head of operations and special projects at Neuralink, a business he controls, had twins in November 2021.

According to an Insider story, Musk and Zilis petitioned to modify the twins’ names in April so that their middle name would include both Zilis’ last name and their father’s last name.

Insider chose not to publish the children’s complete names in order to respect their privacy. A judge in Austin, Texas, granted the name change in May.

Only a few weeks after having the twins, Musk and Claire Boucher, popularly known by her stage name Grimes, received their second child via surrogate in December.

Musk currently has nine children in his life who are known to exist, including the recently found twins. His estimated net worth is around $220 billion. He shares two kids with the musician Grimes and five kids with his first wife, Justine Musk.

Who is Shivon Zilis? Neuralink Executive?

Zilis, 36, who was raised in Ontario, Canada, attended Yale to study economics and philosophy, earning a bachelor’s degree there in 2008.

She was a goalie for the women’s hockey team at her college. According to the Insider story, she has posted pictures on social media while ice climbing, zip-lining, and surfing.

After earning her degree, she worked for IBM before moving on to Bloomberg Beta, a venture capital firm. She oversaw investment initiatives in data and machine learning while there.

Neuralink, the company where Zilis is employed at the moment, aims to develop human-machine interactions. According to a report in the Guardian, she started working for the company in May 2017.

According to the Insider article, Zilis got to know Musk while working with OpenAI, a non-profit organization that Musk co-founded in 2015 to conduct artificial intelligence research and development.

She relocated to Telsa, Elon Musk’s electric vehicle firm, in 2017 and began working as a project director, applying her experience in AI to the chip-design and autopilot teams.

Musk has emphasized his concerns about a possible fall in the world’s population and maintained that more people are needed.

On January 18, Musk tweeted, “We should be much more concerned about population collapse.”

The UN’s predictions are complete nonsense. Add the births from the previous year to the life expectancy. That is the best case scenario unless the declining trend in birth rates is reversed.

“There won’t be enough people for Mars if there aren’t enough for Earth.”

Musk has also discussed his status as the father of his numerous children by various women.

In 2020, Musk admitted to the New York Times that he doesn’t spend a lot of time with his children while they are very young.

There isn’t much I can do right now. Grimes currently plays a far larger role than I do, he declared. “There will be more of a role for me as the child gets older. Just carrying on with what I’ve done with my previous kids, I suppose.

He acknowledged that he did make an effort to bring his kids along on his excursions. “If I have a trip for Tesla to China, for example, I’ll bring the kids with me and we’ll go see the Great Wall or we took the bullet train from Beijing to Xian and saw the Terracotta Warriors,” he stated in the same interview.
