Mark Simon Cavendish MBE is a Manx professional road racing cyclist who currently competes for the UCI WorldTeam Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team. He specializes in the madison, points race, and scratch race disciplines on the track, and he is a sprinter on the road. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest road sprinters of all time, and Christian Prudhomme, Tour de France director, dubbed him “the greatest sprinter in the history of the Tour and of cycling” in 2021.
