Jamie Reynolds, a deputy sheriff for Spalding County, Georgia, was killed in an accident on Sunday morning when a big pine tree fell on his patrol cruiser, according to the sheriff.

Sheriff Darrell Dix said in a news release that Jamie Reynolds, a deputy sheriff for Spalding County, was instantaneously killed when a tree fell on his cruiser while he was traveling east on Georgia Highway 16 just east of Shoal Creek Road.

There was no other information regarding the collision available right away.

According to the sheriff, Reynolds is survived by his wife and kids.
