According to a person who spoke to The Post, Ivana Trump was buried on Wednesday at the serene Trump National Golf Club cemetery in Bedminster, New Jersey.
After her funeral in Manhattan earlier in the day, the ex-wife of former president Donald Trump was buried at the upscale golf club, which has a pool complex near to agricultural buildings from the 17th century.
Ivana’s burial service, which was attended by family and a few close friends and featured remarks from Donald and their three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric, was described as “wonderful” by the source.
According to the insider who was present, the 45th president told the group “just what a wonderful woman she was, what a strong woman and she controlled a room.”
The elegant businesswoman was laid to rest “not too far from the main club house.” They have a segregated patch of grass. It’s just a pretty understated piece of stone with her name carved on it, the person claimed.
Prior to the funeral service at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church on the Upper East Side, the former couple’s children had also spoken to the around 100 mourners, praising their “trailblazer” mother as an inspiration.
At the invitation-only tribute, the New York society woman was hailed as “a force of nature” and “the epitome of the American ideal.”
In 2017, Donald Trump proposed plans to build a small, 10-plot graveyard overlooking the first hole of the golf course for his family, The Washington Post reported at the time.
The former commander-in-chief has said in the past he plans to be buried at the leafy site, too.
“Mr. Trump . . . specifically chose this property for his final resting place as it is his favorite property,” his company wrote in a 2014 state filing.
Ivana Trump, 73, died last week after a fall down the stairs at her Manhattan home. She and Donald divorced in the 1990s.
