Leonard Gordon Goodman, an English professional ballroom dancer, dance judge, and coach, was born on April 25, 1944. From its inception in 2004 until 2016, he served as head judge on the television dance competitions Strictly Come Dancing, where a variety of celebrities compete for the glitter ball trophy, and Dancing with the Stars. In Dartford, Kent, he also oversees a ballroom dancing school.

London is where Goodman was born. When he was six years old, his family relocated to Blackfen, and he later went to Westwood Secondary Modern School, where he played cricket. Goodman was one of three kids; he was also the only one to continue working for the family business while his siblings all relocated to Newcastle.

Len, who has participated in Dancing With the Stars for every but one season since its inception in 2005, was unable to participate in this season because to the continuing coronavirus outbreak. Len “will not be able to judge this season live in the ballroom due to current circumstances,” the network stated, adding that he “will still be a part of the show in a different manner providing his ballroom expertise from London.”
