Dillon started out racing in Bandolero minicars and go-karts. He moved up to the K&N Pro Series East in 2009, and in spite of only taking part in eight of the series’ ten races, he competed for the championship in 2010.
He finished 13th in points. At Gresham Motorsports Park in August 2010, he earned his only series victory.
