Emily O’Hara Ratajkowski, born June 7, 1991, is a model, actress, and author from the United States. Ratajkowski, who was born in London to American parents and raised in San Diego, began acting as a child before landing a recurring role on the Nickelodeon series iCarly (2009-2010).
Her modeling debut was on the cover of the erotic magazine treats March’s 2012 issue, which led to her appearances in two music videos: Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” and Maroon 5’s “Love Somebody.” Ratajkowski made her feature film debut in Gone Girl as the mistress of Ben Affleck’s character (2014).
Other films in which she has appeared include Entourage (2015), We Are Your Friends (2015), I Feel Pretty (2018), and Welcome Home (2018), as well as the miniseries The Spoils Before Dying (2015) and the anthology series Easy (2016). She appeared in Sports Illustrated swimsuit issues in 2014 and 2015, and made her professional catwalk modeling debut for Marc Jacobs at New York Fashion Week in 2015.
She has since walked the Miu Miu runway in Paris and the Bottega Veneta, Dolce & Gabbana, and Versace runways in Milan. During Super Bowl 50 (2016), she appeared in a Buick Super Bowl commercial and has become a spokesperson for brands such as DKNY, The Frye Company, Kerastase, Paco Rabanne, and DL1961.
As a Planned Parenthood spokesperson, she advocates for women’s health issues. Ratajkowski, a self-described feminist, has received both support and criticism for her views on sexual expression. Metropolitan Books will release her essay collection, My Body, in November 2021.

“I cook a lot, so that comes in handy,” she explained. “You know how much salt, sugar, and other junk you’re putting in your body.” However, the model prioritizes a healthy diet. “I like to keep it really balanced to give my body energy while also being healthy,” Ratajkowski explained.
